Day 2 - West then South.

Sunday we drove about 500 miles, more than we normally like, from Binghamton to Marengo, Ohio to spend the night at the Hoof Hearted Brewing Company, a Harvest Host.

About 4 hours of the drive was along I86 west to I90 along Lake Erie. It was snowing most of the time, temperatures dropped into the teens with strong head winds.  It was not a fun drive but once we turned south near Cleveland, things improved somewhat.

By the time we got to the Hoof Hearted Brewery temperatures were in the low 30s and at least my plumbing had thawed out so we had hot water again.

The Hoof Hearted Brewery is about 15 miles north of Columbus, in the country.  We had a nice time sampling their beers, they are all about IPAs, doubles and triples. It was good that we only had to walk out to our RVs for the evening.

This morning it is 22F but our plumbing is not frozen. This the same temperature as last night, so I think it was the wind that caused it to freeze the night before.

Today we are making our way to Kentucky. We have a Maker's Mark tour scheduled for 1:30PM, then we need to find a place to park for the night.

  1. Ed and I don't think we have ever been to a brewery we didn't like! Fun place!
